Abstract

Alcoholism is one of the most tragic and destructive illness in the worId today. Directly or indirectly alcohol-related problems affect the lives of many people. I summarize a substantial portion of current scientific knowledge on the health consequences of using alcoholic beverages and medicolegal aspects on alcohol-related problems.
