A Case Report of Individual Identification by Bite Mark
Chong-Youl Kim
College of Dentistry, Yon-Sei University
Abstract
Cases involving bite marks have increased considerably since first reports of bite wound for the individual identification in Korea 1969. This is probably due to the fact that investigating officers are now more aware of the value of bite mark evidence and are always alert to the possibility of signs of bite mark. Author recently had an experience in the identification of a criminal by tracing tooth marks made on silicon rubber impression from corpse's genital organ.
