Applications of Peroxidase Labeled Antibody Technique in the Field of Forensic Medicine
Jin Choe
Catholic Medical College, Seoul, Korea
Abstract
Peroxidase-labeled antibody technique has proven to be a useful marker for immunohistochemistry. This technique can be used for both light and electron microscopies. It is especially suitable for the intracellular localization of antigens at the ultrastructural level. Since horseradish peroxidase(40, 000 molecular weight) is smaller than ferritin (650, 000 molecular weight), the horseradish peroxidase labeled IgG has better penetration properties than that of ferritin labeled. In this paper the author described a recent method of conjugation and its applications in the fields of forensic medicine and the others.
