Historical Review on the Systems of Forensic Medicine in Other Countries

Abstract
In the early history of man, only fragments of a scientific approach to judicially related inquiry can be found. The history of forensic medicine in our country is very long and admirable, especially in the middle ages. While our country go through modernization in this century, forensic medicine failed in development because of economical indigence, political and social chaos. On account of this reason, the authors examined history and development in forensic sciences and contemporary postmortem investigation systems in some countries. The authors proposes conclusions for development in forensic sciences in Korea.
